As you know a photo booth is a photo kiosk, sometimes you find them in public places so you can take pictures for your passport, and your driving license etc…
But in the past few years photo booths have been in huge demand to hire at events such as weddings, birthdays, engagements, anniversaries, bar mitzvah’s, proms, college parties, graduations, re-unions, corporate events, and many more social occasions.

In America the photo booth systems are pretty much the same, except they are more often used publicly as they are only just discovering the fact that photo booth hire makes social events so much more fun. Typical American photo booths are digital, and have a seat inside, the photo booth entrance is also typically surrounded by a curtain, similar to the UK photo booth systems.

American photo booths are usually coin operated, when the money is inserted the photo booth takes a series of photographs , before each photo is taken, there is an indication such as a countdown, or a light, which signals the customer to pose for camera, after the last photograph is taken the booth begins developing the photos that have been taken, which usually takes about 30 seconds, the photos are then delivered to the customer through a little slot in the machine.

There is not many differences between  American photo booths and UK photo booths, except for the fact more photo booths are hired for events in the UK rather than just using ones in public places. Both photo booth systems offer the choice of full colour pictures and black and white, some American photo booths even offer the option of a caricature effect.

There are 4 times as many photo booths in the UK than in America. As American use them purely for normal things. Where as the UK hire them for their special events as entertainment.

The New York taxi has the photo booth system built in to the back and can sit up to 6 people in.
